The Titanic didn't have enough lifeboats. And when it sank, 1500 people died. Fortunately we learned to fully stock our boats with lifeboats. Hitting icebergs does happen.
154 passengers and crew members escaped harm when the Exporer hit an iceberg near Antartica. While humanity has shown that we don't always learn from history - think of the current war we're involved in, which I intially supported - it's nice to see we learned that ships are "sinkable" and thus should be outfitted with proper safty devices.
