Why can't they pay their taxes?

As a Republican, I've taken plenty of beatings the past eight years. Yes, Bush will go down as one of the worst ever. Yes, Cheney is a war hawk.

But, as far as I know, they hired people who paid their taxes. It amazes me that Daschle, Killefer and Geithner all circumvented the tax system in some manner.

How can government leadership fail to pay government taxes? It's amazing how stupid people are.

Hi Mac, keep in mind, Geithner circumvented some taxes before he was appointed to the Fed by Bush. Seems to be a bipartisan thing.

On Letterman tonight: "We don't expect Democrats to cheat on their taxes. We expect them to cheat on their wives!"

Does seem odd but every a president starts nominating people this stuff happens. It happened to W, Don Juan, and GW. That's all I remember but I'd bet it happens to "the great communicator" as well.

I'd buy anyone a beer if someone found out how many Labor Secretaries and nominee's had to give up their spot due to "undocumented domestic" employee's.

Yes, yes, yes, my fellow Republicans have obviously hired folks who don't pay taxes. I guess the entire thing amazes me. I'm willing to bet if I claim $100 for church donations, the IRS will be knocking down my door, while these idiots get away with murder. What gives?
