"Come on Santa BARK with us!"

Sunday I played Santa at the Minnesota Valley Human Society's Posing Paws event. This is where, often crazed, people bring in their animals for Holiday card pictures. They're not all crazy, just a few of them which makes volunteering all the more fun.

I started doing this five years ago. My aunt roped me in and now they have my phone number. So unless I move, I'm locked into the yearly event. That's alright as I find so much humor in watching people trying to get their animals to sit, smile, bark, slobber, etc., the six hour event is worth it.

This year's "Crazed Animal Lover" was a lady who tried to get not only her dogs to bark for the camera, but Santa as well. She looked me right in the eye and said "Come on Santa BARK with us!" No, I didn't oblige. I have more respect for myself than to start barking, while holding three Collies, dressed in a half-assed Santa suite.

Do they keep the humans in cages at the Human Society? Can you send them back before 30 days if you just don't get along with them? That's an amusing typo.
