Ellie's Brown Ale

Update: The neighbor city's municipal liquor store didn't have Ellie's. Nor did they have Surly. That's government for you.... Instead of leaving empty handed, I picked up a six pack of Bell's Pale Ale. It's a blond ale with a smooth taste. As expected with a blond ale, the color is lighter than Summit or Surly. It's kind of like if you mixed lemonade with ice tee. Not the taste, but the color. Overall I'd give Bell's a B+. If you're really into ales (like I am), it's worth a try.


I'm off to the liquor store to see if I can find Ellie's Brown Ale. I've never had it before, but a colleague of mine has recommended it so I thought we'd give it a try tonight. I'll let you know how it was next week.
