87 Stock Market Crash

I'm still reading Greenspan's book. I admit, it's pretty good.

Here is something to chew on. On October 19th, 1987 the Dow dropped by 22.6% in one day. Back then that was 508 points. What would that same drop look like today?

As of this writing the Dow is around 12,500. If it were to drop 22.6%, it would drop to 9675 or almost 3000 points. That's enough to make people nervous.
